JANUARY
EDINA BRONYA ELMINA, IN THE CENTRAL REGION This festival is a novel Christmas festivity Introduced during the Dutch era of the colonial period. It coincides with the Dutch festival which falls on the first Thursday of January every year.
AKWASIDAE KUMASI, IN THE ASHANTI REGION Celebrated once every six weeks from the date of the previous event. Asantehene and the Asante kingdom celebrate this festival which serves as a platform for pledging allegiance to the kingdom and affirming loyalty to the golden stool.

FEBRUARY
DZAWUWU DABALA, IN THE VOLTA REGION In every February the chief and people of Agave traditional celebrate this thanksgiving festival where special portions food are sprinkled to the gods. It also commemorates the bravery of the Agave of the past who fought and won several wars.
MARCH
GWOLGU TANGO, IN THE UPPER EAST REGION This festival is celebrated to usher in a new farming season.
KPLEDJOO TEMA, IN THE GREATER ACCRA REGION Celebrated to facilitate the recovery of the sakumono   lagoon for bumper harvest, climaxed by durbar of chiefs and people communities.
INDEPENDENCE DAY NATIONWIDE Public holiday to commemorate Ghana’s Independence Anniversary
APOO TECHIMAN, IN THE BRONG - AHAFO REGION A traditional purification festival cleaning society of social evils and seeking a favourable harvest from ancestors.
APRIL
JINTIGI FIRE FESTIVAL GONJALAND, IN THE NORTHERN REGION This is celebrated by the chiefs and people of Gonjaland every year. Among activities to mark the festival is the procession at night with torches into the bush or outskirts of towns and villages within Gonjaland.
MAY
 ABOAKYER (ANTELOPE HUNTING) WINNEBA, IN THE CENTRAL REGION Traditional festival of the winneba people with antelope hunting competition by warrior groups. The durbar of chiefs and people to climax the occasion attracts crowds from far and near.
JUNE
 BUGUM NORTHERN, UPPER EAST & UPPER WEST REGION Festival of fire carnival with torch celebrated by the Dagombas, the Nanumbas and the Mamprusis.
JULY
NATIONAL REGATTA ELMINA, IN THE CENTRAL REGION This is celebrated to foster unity among the fishing communities using tourism to improve the economies of the communities, and to discover the tourism potential of those communities thereby creating employment.
EDINA BAKATUE ELMINA, IN THE CENTRAL REGION A traditional festival to mark the opening and draining of the Brenya lagoon. Durbars of chiefs and people plus a colourful regatta are parts of the climax of this event, which is very popular with African-American tourist.
DAMBA NORTHERN, UPPER EAST AND UPPER WEST REGIONS Festival to mark the birth of Mohammed
EMANCIPATION DAY/PANAFEST ACCRA, CAPE COAST, ASSIN MANSO/PRASO Celebrated in solidarity with people of African decent and to mark the abolition of chattel slavery in the British colonies and the Americas in 1834 and 1865 respectively.
AUGUST
AGOGO AFAHYE AGOGO IN ASHANTI REGION It is a festival celebrated with a durbar of chiefs and people in merry-making.
EMANCIPATION DAY/PANAFEST ACCRA, CAPE COAST, ASSIN MANSO/PRASO Celebrated in solidarity with people of African decent and to mark the abolition of chattel slavery in the British colonies and the Americas in 1834 and 1865 respectively.
ASAFOTUFIAM ADA, IN THE GREATER ACCRA REGION Durbar of chiefs and people of Ada  for the purification of the stools, reaffirmation of political loyalties and traditional allegiance to the chief of Ada.
HOMOWO GREATR ACCRA REGION A traditional festival of the Ga state to “hoot at hunger” and give thanks for good harvests
ODWIRA AKROPONG, IN THE EASTERN REGION Durbar of chiefs and people for the purification of the stools, reaffirmation of political loyalties and traditional allegiance.
SEPTEMBER
OGUAA FETU AFAHYE CAPE COAST, IN THE CENTRAL REGION Festival of purification rites and durbar of chiefs and people with a colourful parade of seven Asafo (warriors) companies in their unique attire.
WORLD TOURISM DAY NATIONWIDE Commemoration of World Tourism Day with various industry related programmes by stakeholders in the industry.
KOBINE LAWRA, IN THE UPPER WEST REGION Thanksgiving festival to the ancestral gods and jubilation over bountiful harvest
WLI FALLS FESTIVAL VOLTA REGION The chiefs and people of the three communities forming the wli traditional area celebrates this festival to thank the god and acestors for being kind by providing them a waterfall that is perennial and provides sources of water in virtually arid area
KUNDUM WESTERN REGION Festival to thank the gods and ancestors of the land.
OCTOBER
ODWIRA AKWAPIM, IN THE EASTERN REGION The Akwapim odwira festival dates back as far as the 19th century. It was first celebrated in October 1826 with the Akwapim artifacts from the battle of katamanso near  dodowa in 1826. The festival is mainly the dramatisation of Akwapim sacred traditional myth and legends handed down by the ancestors of the “Oman”
KWAFIE DORMAA AHENKRO, IN THE BRONG AHAFO REGION A thanksgiving festival and purification, the highlight of which are large bonfires in the courtyards of the chiefs
NOVEMBER
NKYIDWO ESSUMEJA, IN THE ASHANTI REGION Celebrated in the last Monday of November or the first Monday of December. The festival marks the emergence of the first seven Ashanti ancestors from a huge hole in the ground. The celebration is characterised by a performance of rituals and durbar of chiefs and leaders at a site in the Ashantiman forest, known to be the ancestral origin of the Ashantis.
HOGBETSOTSO  ANLOGA, IN THE VOLTA REGION The festival commemorates the migration of the people of Anlo from the ancient walled city of notsie in present day northern Togo to their present abode in the south-eastern coastal wetlands of Ghana
DECEMBER
ADAE KESE KUMASI, IN THE ASHANTI REGION Usually held to climax celebrations of milestones and achievements of Asante kingdom.
