A host of challenges face Ghana’s  rural communities. Many visitors to ecotourism sites leave with a desire to contribute to the livelihood of Ghanaians who have shown them great hospitality.

GREET has established special trust funds for communities associated with each of the rural ecotourism destination. The funds will help to educate selected promising young residents of these communities who do not have funds to continue their education beyond primary school. The scholarships provide full tuition and necessary accommodations (most secondary schools are not in the student’s home community). The cost per student averages 160 Ghana cedis per year.

Your contribution can help expand the number of worthy students who benefit from this program. Donations may be made either directly to the site (obtain a receipt and inform GREET of your donation via email) or by sending your donation by postal mail to GREET, indicating the recipient site. GREET will confirm your donation and provide you with scholarship programme updates.
